– The Fold Revisit Mid-Decade Demos On The Eve Of New Years Eve If the demos are “early-to-mid-decade” doesn’t it make sense they are “from the last ten years”? RELATED: The stiffness of this kind of music writing is exactly why everyone can’t be a music writer. It’s trying to sound “smart” when it...

Eve of the Eve
Tonight went from one girlfriend home on winter break coming over for wine to about 8 girlfriends coming over for wine. So it is our (Adam and) Eve of the (New Year’s) Eve party. If I wasn’t so lazy, I would make an image for my girl’s night of Eve holding a calendar. Maybe this is about to become a tradition and will become something.

livinginlakeview: Email to Me Subject: free pie Text: Alright seriously…there is no pie but I thought this would help you open and this maybe chat with me later. Who knows we could get real pie in the future, or if you don’t like pie maybe ice cream. Either way you’re now thinking about sweets and will remember… me, too. 3 months ago or so, exact same email.

Avoiding
It has been almost 4 months and I still try to avoid riding past my crash scene. It doesn’t help (or perhaps it does) that the bridge on Halsted north of Chicago is being replaced, so there are detours and unhappy drivers. Tonight I’m staring at Google maps and deciding if I should add two miles to my ride tonight instead of just taking Halsted and riding through that intersection and...

ISO: Chicago apartments
I have a couple friends looking to immediately change their Chicago housing situations and figure I may as well put the word out here as well as on Facebook. Person one is a woman with a 1/1, 1/15, or 2/1 move-in date. She’s super cool, funny, has an older cat and is looking for something on the northside (lincoln square, edgewater, ravenswood) in the $500/month range. People two and three...
